A field guide from Measured Capital. Free.

Here's the guide.

Scaling Up with AI is the answer I kept giving friends who asked how I actually use it: the whole journey, from a browser chat to a system that works while you sleep, in the order I wish someone had shown me.

Twenty-four pages. Take it, and take your time with it.

Instant download. I'll send a short note when I write something new, and nothing else.

It's on its way.

If it didn't open, download it here. Start with the map on page 02 and find where you are. There's no wrong rung.

When you've read it, I'd genuinely love to hear what you built.

Inside the guide

It starts where most of us are, and goes all the way up.

A browser chat is rung one. The top rung is describing a piece of software and watching an AI build it. Most people never need the top, and that's fine. The point is to see the whole climb so the next step is always obvious.

Along the way: the one habit I share more than any other (talk, don't type), the small folder of plain text that makes an AI sound like you, an honest look at what "agents" are and aren't, and a first week laid out one day at a time. Nothing in it takes more than an hour to try.

Open it to page 02, the map, and find where you are. Then take one rung.

A note from Dan

The question I get asked most changed this year.

It used to be "how's the market." Now it's "how are you using AI." Friends, investors, people from church, my kids' coaches. I love the question, and I kept giving a different answer depending on what I'd built that week. So I wrote the whole thing down, in order.

If it helps you run your own thing a little better, that's the whole point. And if you're ever curious how it works inside ours, the door's open.
